Hi! I'm Kyra Barbero. I'm a Registered Nurse and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist at the Nurture Family Feeding Clinic.

I grew up in a few different towns throughout central and southern Alberta and always knew I'd love to come back to Southern Alberta to start a family. I graduated from nursing school at the University of Lethbridge in 2016 and worked on Acute Care and in the Emergency Room for about 9 years, including my undergrad. During nursing school I also worked as a health care aid in local nursing homes. I've always been passionate about helping people and after having my son in 2020 during COVID-19, I expanded this passion to include lactation and breastfeeding care! In 2022 I completed further specific education for this field and have LOVED training under Dr. Appleton and working at Nurture.

I'm local to Pincher Creek, and am currently based at the Pincher Creek Associate Medical Clinic to make traveling easier on families seeking lactation assistance through Nurture who live in the area. This being said, I come to Lethbridge once a week to work in the Lethbridge Nurture Clinic as well, and enjoy continuing to learn from Dr. Appleton.

I truly love what I do, and I'm so happy to help support other families as they navigate the addition of a new baby to their life!
